A 58-year-old woman with a background of obesity and type II Diabetes Mellitus, and diagnosis of steatotic liver disease-induced cirrhosis, is admitted to a medical ward with new onset of confusion. She had been put on antifungal therapy by her primary care physician for repeated fungal infections. Her serum bilirubin level is 2mg/dL; INR 1.9; creatinine 1.7mg/dL. There is no respiratory or cardiovascular functional failure, without any need for support.
