EASL CPGs Dissemination & Implementation Programme
Overview
The EASL Guidelines Dissemination Programme is a core component of EASL's educational strategy designed to advance liver care through the adoption of Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs). Since 2009, EASL has published CPGs covering all major areas of hepatology. However, despite their quality and relevance, awareness and implementation in clinical practice remains limited due to various barriers.
To address this, the Dissemination Programme promotes awareness, understanding, and uptake of EASL CPGs through a diverse educational portfolio. A key component is the EASL Guidelines Implementation Programme (EASL CIMP), which translates guidelines into practical tools for everyday clinical settings. Together, these initiatives ensure that the EASL CPGs are not only read but also applied, thus helping healthcare professionals deliver better liver care across Europe.
Audience
The programme is designed for a broad community of healthcare professionals, including physicians across specialities and career stages, clinical researchers, nurses, and allied health professionals (AHPs). The goal is to enhance their ability to understand and apply the EASL CPGs effectively in daily clinical practice.

Implementation Programme
At the heart of the Dissemination Programme is the EASL Clinical Practice Guidelines Implementation Programme (EASL CIMP), which focusses on turning CPGs into practical tools for everyday care. Through structured, interactive learning opportunities, the programme supports healtcare professionals in applying guidelines directly in clincal practice.
Each CPG is paired with at least two tailored dissemination products from the portfolio, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and real-world application. This multi-format, hands-on approach makes CPGs more pratical, accesible, and impactful, thus helping raise standards of liver care across Europe.
