About this course
This EASL-ESPEN course will provide you with up-to-date knowledge and best practice guidance on the assessment and management of nutrition in liver disease. Comprising five modules, the course is presented by some of Europe’s leading experts in nutrition and liver disease. It begins with an introduction to the concept of malnutrition and overnutrition in liver disease, before guiding you through key assessments, recommended tools, and the incorporation of exercise into a treatment programme. Each module is standalone, so you can pick and choose according to your interests and watch at your own pace.

Overview
- Learners will be introduced to the concept of malnutrition and overnutrition in liver disease and their consequences
- Learners will review the main obstacles to valid nutritional assessments in liver disease
- Learners will gain an understanding of the methods and tools used for nutritional screening and assessment in liver disease
- Learners will review the methods used for dietary assessment in liver disease
- Learners will be given guidance in the assessment of muscle function and frailty
- Learners will gain an understanding of how to approach the need for lifestyle and dietary changes in liver disease, and the methods used to help achieve them

- In each module, you will need to complete all the Pre Knowledge Checks to determine your current level of understanding. This is not counted as part of your grade for this course.
- After completing a Pre Knowledge Check you can view the main content related.
- After completing the main content you will unlock the Post Knowledge Check. You must pass this to complete the module.
- Once you pass all the Post Knowledge Checks you will need to provide some module feedback in order to unlock your Module Certificate and your CME Credits Certificate.
- Continue with the next module.
